     Satan…

Why would a loving, true God allow suffering, murder, crime, and bad
things to take place? Is one of the questions that I often hear. The
answer is quite simple; it’s not God who is doing it, but the ‘Lord of
this Earth’ right now.  I am speaking of Satan, the Devil, and from
experiance I know that he will try his hardest to corrupt your mind
with doubts about your beliefs, and he is also responsible for other
things; if you have noticed that the excitement you had first felt
when you had first accepted Christ is now gone, it is most likely not
gone, but clouded, and polluted with too many other pleasures of life.
For instance, if you’re like me sometimes, and get to where you can’t
go without the computer at all, than you most likely need to loosen up.
Too many other interests and activities that are not Christ – centered
but seem to be just as filling are those of Satan. You see, Satan will
try to cloud your mind with these things; the one thing that’s good to
know, though, is that you CAN be forgiven, and ‘Go Back’ to the other
side, the good side, so to speak.  If you pray for forgiveness, and
forgive your neighbor as well, you will most likely recieve it. ‘Ask
and Ye shall find..  Seek and it shall be given unto you.’ Satan will
do anything he can to get your mind off of Jesus, because he knows
that once it IS on Christ, and only Him, Satan can’t touch you at all.
Think about it; a shield of Love that the Lord has to offer, to shield
you from Satan. And Satan himself knows that Jesus is Lord over him;
so if you appeal to Jesus, the Devil, that old Serpant Satan, can’t
touch you.
Just pray for help during temptation and it will be given to
you; for every temptation God gives, ‘He also provides a means of
escape.’ Jesus was tempted Himself, He know what it is to be tempted.
So don’t turn your back on Jesus; if you are, you are turning
face-forward to Satan.

                              SATAN DEFINED
SATAN – a Hebrew name meaning literally ‘adversary, accuser’ In
the greek of the New Testament the name SATAN (AS) is the leader of
fallen spirits (SEE Matthew 12:24). SATAN ‘Excels in strength’
(PSALMS 103:20; JUDE 9), yet as a supernatural being he is a limited
being, (see Job 1:7) and he can operate only by DIVINE PERMISSION (JOB
1:12; CF. 1 COR 10:13).  He dominates all the kingdoms of mankind (LK
4:6), seeking their DESTRUCTION (1 PET. 5:8).  Satan was a highly
exalted angel but he sought to supplament GOD, and thus his fall.
Today satan still incites people to evil (ACTS 5:3; 1 COR. 7:5; 2 COR
2:11) and he is able to change himself into an ‘Angel of light’ (term
which refers to his deceptive nature, (CF. 2 COR. 11:14).  He
continues to hinder Christians (1 THESS. 2:18), and he is still the
‘PRINCE’ of the power of our earthly atmosphere (EPH. 2:2);but if we
resist satan he will flee from us (JAS 4:7).  Satan knows that his
time left is short (REV 12:12).  With the return of Christ, satan is
to be bound (REV.20:2-3, CF. ISA. 24:21-22).  His final release  will
accomplish only the destuction of those he decieves, after which he is
cast into the lake of fire forever (REV. 20:9-10).

He is real, don’t play with him, COME TO CHRIST.

Do I Believe that satan exists?  Yup!  Why he calls S.O.N. BBS, leaves
me messages and mail about once a week!

The Bible describes satan’s nature and his power

1. Satan disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14)
2. “The devil sinneth from the beginning”  (1 John 3:8)
Satan “was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the
truth, because there is no truth in him.  When he speaketh a lie,
he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father if it”
   (John 8:44)
3. “In the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed
to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils” (1 Timothy 4:1)
4. “The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe
not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the
image of God, should shine unto them”  (2 Corinthians 4:4)
5. Demons may leave and later return to a person (Matthew 12:43-45).
6. Satan may take away the Word that has been sown in people’s hearts
if they don’t believe it (Matthew 13:19).
7. The powers of darkness fight against the saints (Ephesians 6:12)
8. The devils believe in God and tremble (James 2:19)
9. The satan accuses us before God day and night (Revelation 12:10)
10. The devil has taken people captive at his will (2 Timothy 2:26)
11. The devil *had* the power of death (Hebrews 2:14)
12. Satan hindered Paul from going to the Thessalonians (Thess. 2:18)
13. The devil disputed with Michael the archangel about the body of
    Moses (Jude vs. 9)

But, the FINAL OUTCOME doesn’t look to bright for satan:

1. Lucifer shall “be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit”
   (Isaiah 14:15)
2. Satan and his angels will battle Michael and his angels.  Satan and
his angels will be defeated and cast out of heaven to the earth.
   (Revelation 12:7-10)
3. Spirits of devils will perform miracles to bring the nations to
   war.  (Revelation 16:13&14)
4. Satan will be cast into the bottomless pit for 1000 years
   (Revelation 20:1-3).
5. Satan will be released upon the earth after 1000 years, but will
finally be cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:7-10).
6. Satan and his false prophet will be tormented day and night forever
   (Revelation 20:10)

And of course the Bible also describes the Greater Power.

1. “…For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might
destroy the works of the devil”  (1 John 3:8b).

2. “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor ANGELS, nor
principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
nor height, nor depth, nor ANY OTHER CREATURE, shall be able to
separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our
   Lord.  (Romans 8:38-39).

yea….I’d say he’s out there, but I’m too busy listening to Jesus
Christ than to take time to listen to him.  Some people make a habit
of ‘rebuking the devil’ all day long, which is really pointless
because he’s just gonna keep it up anyways.  (But by so doing, he has
managed to keep the persons attention focused on himself [satan]
instead of Jesus Christ.

The story is told that some time ago Satan called together all the
hosts of the lower realm because he wanted to send another of his
diabolical assistants to earth.  When they had all assembled he asked
them.

“Who is willing to go to earth to assist me with the destruction of
the souls of the son’s of men?”
A young demon, hoping to attain a lower ranking quickly volunteered
to go.
“And what is your plan for assisting me with the destruction of the
souls of the son’s of men?” asked Satan.
“I will tell them that there is no hell,” replied the demon.
“No, that will never do,” Satan said.  “For within the heart of
every man there is an awful sense of justice and because of that, no
matter how much they try to deny it or are otherwise taught, mankind
still senses that there must be a place of punishment.  They will
never be convinced beyond question that there is no hell.  You may not
go.  Your plan will fail.”

Again Satan asked, “Who is willing to go to earth to assist me with
the destruction of the souls of the son’s of men?”
A somewhat older demon, who loved the opportunity to make the
younger demons look stupid, sneered at the first volunteer and said,
“I’ll go.”
Again Satan asked, “What is your plan for assisting me with the
destruction of the souls of the son’s of men?”
With another sneer toward the younger demon he answered, “I’ll tell
the son’s of men that there is no heaven.”
“No,” Satan replied again, “That will be no better.  For, as we
know all to well, every man retains within him something of the image
of God his creator and because of that while they often wish they
could deny it they will never be fully convinced that there is no
heaven.  No, your plan will not work and you may not go.”

A third time Satan asked, “Who is willing to go to earth to assist
me with the destruction of the souls of the son’s of men?”
Much to the surprise of all those present an old demon, who never
had much to say, volunteered to assist with the destruction of the
son’s of men.
Again Satan asked, “What is your plan for assisting me with the
destruction of the souls of the son’s of men?”
“I’ll tell them,” the old demon a bit timidly, “I’ll tell them that
there is no hurry.”
“Go!” shouted Satan, “for your plan will surely succeed. All men
have within them the sense of both heaven and hell but if we can keep
them from considering their eternal destiny then hell will certainly
grab them before they take hold of heaven.”
