William Edward Biederwolf
1867-1939
American evangelist. Dr. William Biederwolf was converted to
Christ at the age of 20. After extensive education in univer-
sities in France, Germany, and Princeton, he was ordained at
30 years of age. After three years in the pastorate and one
year as an Army chaplain, he began a life of evangelistic
work that lasted 35 years. He preached in America and around
the world and established a leper home in Korea in 1920.
In 1923, he established the Winona Lake Assembly for
Conference Speakers. After his active work in evangelism, he
devoted his remaining years to pastoring in Florida and also
to writing. He was the author of many books, among which were
the Millennium Bible, The Wonderful Christ, The Growing
Christian, and The Whipping Post Theology.
